PTFE A selection of the famous 'Teflon' ® and 'Xylan' ®) range of coatings, designed to produce surfaces having exceptionally low coefficient of friction and good non-stick. Resistant to temperatures ranging from -200°C to 260°C and having outstanding resistance to virtually all chemicals. However, microporosity within these coatings prevents their use for heavy duty corrosion-resistant applications.
We have been part of Dupont's network of Licensed Industrial Applicators (LIA) for amost 30 years. An LIA is a company selected for its extensive knowledge and experience in recommending and applying Teflon industrial coatings, as well as for the quality of its workmanship.
During this time we have had considerable experience in providing a select number of coatings, both un-reinforced and reinforced with a flame-sprayed stainless steel matrix, to provide the necessary abrasion/wear resistance.
Overall thickness ranges between 30 — 150 microns dependant on the type of coating selected. Selective grades have FDA approval.

PFA Perfluoroalkoxy offers the ultimate in corrosion resistance of any thermoplastic coating, having the same chemical and temperature resistance as PTFE. It can be applied to give a completely non-porous coating thickness as low as 0.1mm (0.004 inch).

PVDF Fluoroplast ® polyvinylidene fluoride, a non-porous two-coat system providing a hard, tough abrasion-resistant coating within the range -50°C to 130°C. Good corrosion resistance but unsuitable for nitric acids. The coating is particularly useful in applications where halogens are present. Can be applied at various thicknesses between 0.3 mm and 1.0 mm (0.0012 to 0.04 inch).

NYLON A durable decorative coating with excellent resistance to chipping, abrasion and scratching, having a smooth surface finish suitable for steam sterilisation. Good general chemical resistance and low coefficient of friction. Ideal for use in contact with food. Limited colour range available.
EPOXY A thermosetting coating to give a hard decorative paint-like finish.
